Miyazawa Type 1 flute solid silver

*note - I have selected 'Collection only' however I may consider posting/paypal payment too, contact me if interested.* I have 2 homes one in South east Wales and one in Birmingham, collection could be arranged from either.

This flute was bought from John Packer's about 4 years ago, the label says it is a "Type 1 SS REOG". It is entirely solid silver including the mechanism and has a 9k gold riser. It is open holed with an offset G, and a C footjoint. I did however used to use a pearl B footjoint which fitted perfectly so if you did find that you required a B footjoint, a fitting one can be easily and cheaply found. I used it for a few months before accepting my place to study violin at music college and since then, it has barely been played and shows barely any signs of use or wear, all pads are working well. It has always been cleaned and wiped/polished after every play. Comes in a cherrywood case which does have a few scratches on but nothing serious, comes with a fleece lined case cover, and the Miyazawa cleaning rod and polishing cloth it came with.

Here is a link to the same flute http://www.justflutes.com/miyazawa-br-958-1-flute-with-brogger-system-product70713.html , however mine doesn't have a Brogger system. I can't guarantee it exactly matches the specs on that page as I don't know how much the Type 1 model has changed since I bought mine but from what I can see it is that flute but without the Brogger system. I don't know what the 'Britannia' headjoint is so can't comment if mine has it or not! I emailed Miyazawa for more information/help and in their reply they said the following;

"You flute would still be the equivalent of the modern day Miyazawa Type 1 with the only exception being the lack of Brogger Mechanism which to be honest shouldn't affect the value that much.  The cost of a new 2013 Type 1 would be around £6900.00.  You mention the flute has an exotic metal riser.  For a new equivalent, if this is 9k then add an additional £650 to the brand new price and £750 if it has a 14k gold riser."

The riser on this is 9k, so the value of this flute brand new would be £7550.
